"I Choose Green" represents a personal journey through emotion and freedom. After the end of a ten-year relationship, connected to the wedding dress that became the "Divorce Dress", Maria chose this green creation for a sex-positive party with colour codes. Green means open and clear for exploration, and it became her chosen colour that evening.
It was a statement of liberation, a symbolic act marking a new beginning and the freedom to embrace new experiences and possibilities. The green shade represents the hope and potential that lies ahead, and the will to choose one's own path, independently and freely.
The costume became not only an expression of personal freedom but also a symbol of strength. It was shown at the Human Mannequins exhibition at Female Artists Oslo, as part of the broader story of transformation and self-determination.
